Lifefire Leaders' Weekend 19th - 20th September

We spent the weekend at Montfort Kinarut and are feeling totally privileged to be asked to guide the new team in their weekend together as they committed themselves to the service of the ministry in UMS, our local university.

The 10 of them were so open to the movement of God and to our suggestions and feedback on their dynamics. Both Derek & I were impressed to see their openness in working with one another and in listening to each other.

We guided them in some group dynamic exercises as they discovered one another's potentials, strengths and giftings. Amazing to see the honour and respect in each of them for the other.

We are both happy to have witnessed this gathering of young and zealous people, all ready to serve God in their campus. In our time of prayer with them, we were so touched to see their openness in responding to God in their prayer of surrender and commitment.

Our weekend ended on Sunday afternoon with an eventful day's schedule. After attending the lunch party of our neighbours' son's full moon, we rushed to Sacred Heart for the baptism of Kayle, Derek's godson. Later, we went to St Simon's for mass and adjourned to the gathering of my cousin's pre-wedding reception at her home... As if that was not eventful enough, Derek attended the Men's meeting that evening, helping them out with a workshop on leadership.

Nothing else we can say but totally grateful to God for giving us people to celebrate life with, in all ways possible...
