Night out with the Worship Team
Alex had arranged for the meeting at Grandis Hotel, Suria Shopping Mall because of this view. We gathered for dinner last Saturday. The last gathering was about a decade ago...
Looking at this view, which most of us came early to snap a nice photo of, it does reflect the reality of the season that we are passing through. Conversations were about being at this mature age (nicer way of saying we are old-er...). The team dissolved in 1993. I was 24:) Now I am soon to be 45, the youngest on the table at dinner...
Time had passed. Still the God we learned to worship in our youth had been faithful to this day. Many sunsets have been experienced by the group. The most painful, being the time it was dissolved. Yet our gathering reminded us of the beauty of friendship, the joy of sharing life together, the celebration of God's work in our lives...
The sunset had indeed expressed the picture of our state. That God's faithfulness goes beyond every ending. That what we perceive to be a moment of loss had given us opportunities to embrace the new gift of yet another phase in life...
